Welcome to New Horizons. This facility was established in Spring 2010 to provide horses that have severe behavior issues an opportunity to be rehabilitated and become a viable part of the equine community.

Many horses have experienced negative training situations, along with abuse or neglect to cause these issues, which is a instant refusal for most training facilities. This situation also puts handler and owners in danger because of a lack of respect from the horse ... causing more situations to arise.

Behavioral Rehabilitation      

The Behavioral Rehabilitation process can take some time to instill within the horse, depending upon the severity of the behavior. After personally and privately working with horses on a one-on-one basis, I have found that my training techniques of positive reinforcement and confidence-building have effectively corrected issues with horse and rider.  I tailor-fit each program to coincide with the issues at hand so that behavior is addressed directly and modified.  With this in mind, I combine numerous training techniques to communicate my intent to the horse.  By doing this, the training regiment constantly evolves to create the positive training environment needed for these special situations.  Each case is carefully assessed and approached with the horse and owner's best interest in mind.

$700 for 30 days of training; $900 for 60 days.

We can take care of micro-chipping for you, and also register them with Netposse, NIP and AVID. Cost for chipping:  $50 per horse.
